Schreiner: This is a new low for Ford

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens leader and MPP for Guelph Mike Schreiner released this statement following the passage of Bill 97:

“It’s time to remind this government who they work for and take the power back.

After weeks of public outcry over his shady FOI changes hidden in the budget bill, the Premier called a midnight sitting to ram the bill through while nobody was watching. 

Doug Ford thinks he’s above the law–and he clearly has something to hide.

But Ontarians have a right to know how decisions are being made in their own government. And they have a right to have their voices heard when they disagree.

Ontario Greens will not stop fighting to remind this Premier who he works for.”
