Aislinn Clancy
Deputy Leader
MPP for Kitchener Centre
Born and raised in Waterloo region, Aislinn was elected MPP for Kitchener Centre in a landslide by-election win in November 2023. She was re-elected in 2025. Previously, she was a Kitchener city councillor and worked as a social worker in the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.
Aislinn brings a wide range of experience to her role as Deputy Leader and MPP for Kitchener Centre. Over the course of her career, she has developed refugee youth and family programming and supported immigrants fleeing war and oppression to find a sense of place and lead healthy lives. As a school social worker, she has walked with young people and their caregivers on their journeys to stability, well-being and belonging. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to helping all Kitchener residents feel safe, valued and welcome.
Aislinn has been a climate advocate in her community since 2018, supporting action to divest from fossil fuels, invest in climate action and change environmentally destructive behaviours.
At Queen’s Park, she is a fierce advocate for affordable housing, putting forward legislation to hold bad-acting landlords accountable, stop illegal renovictions and take a housing-first approach to ending homelessness.
Aislinn lives in Kitchener with her husband Ryan and two children.

Matt Richter
Deputy Leader
An elementary teacher in the Trillium Lakelands District School Board, Matt Richter is deeply committed to ensuring the people of Ontario have a healthy and prosperous future.
Since Matt first ran for MPP in Parry Sound-Muskoka in 2007, Green support in the riding has grown dramatically. In the 2025 election, Matt secured more than 41 per cent of the vote.
Matt is a community champion for affordable housing, better education and resilient local food systems. He is a strong supporter of small business and recognizes the valuable contributions of small business owners to Ontario’s economy.
A volunteer soccer coach, Matt loves teaching and learning with his students both inside the classroom and out in the Huntsville community.
Matt lives in Huntsville with his wife, Kailey, and their three children.
