Ontarians deserve answers on Eglinton LRT fumble

“After years of secrecy, mismanagement and wasted taxpayer dollars, the end is finally in sight for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

The opening is good news, but Ontarians are still left without answers on what went wrong and how the government is going to ensure these mistakes aren’t repeated on future transit builds. The Premier needs to provide honest answers. 

Greens continue to call for a public inquiry to restore public trust in Metrolinx and the government. The Premier’s continued refusal is deeply concerning.

It’s time for this government to step up, launch a public inquiry on the Eglinton Crosstown mess and deliver a credible plan to get transit projects completed on time and on budget moving forward.”
