Doug Ford is not delivering for workers

GUELPH — Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to Ontario’s December unemployment rate:

“This Premier is more concerned with protecting himself than with protecting the people of Ontario. 

While the Ford government is tied up in court defending their mismanagement of Ontario Place and the Skills Development Fund, Ontario’s unemployment rate continues to reach record highs.

The Ford government could create jobs now by investing made-in-Ontario renewable energy and by legalizing gentle density/missing middle homes and investing in government-funded, affordable non-profit, co-op, and supportive housing.

We need bold action to bring manufacturing and construction jobs back to Ontario.

It’s time for Doug Ford to get his priorities straight and put workers first.”
