Schreiner: Ford’s jet fumble costs everyday people

QUEEN'S PARK — Schreiner released the following statement responding to news that Ford’s purchase of a private jet cost almost $200,000 in ancillary fees.

“After weeks of misleading people about the cost of the private jet flip flop, the government has finally come clean: Ford’s fumble cost Ontario taxpayers $200,000.

While it may seem like a drop in the bucket to the Premier, this is money that could have gone toward housing people, fixing classrooms or improving public health care. Money that could have made a real difference in the lives of hardworking people.

Instead, the Premier spent it on himself. 

Time and time again, Doug Ford puts himself and his donors ahead of everyday people—and it’s costing all of us.”
