Schreiner stands alongside First Nations in call to axe Bill 5

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner, attended this afternoon's Rally and Round Dance to Oppose Bill 5, hosted by the Robinson Huron Waawiindamaagewin.

“I stand with the First Nations leadership and community members from across the province that showed up today to boldly speak out against Bill 5,” said Schreiner.

“Bill 5 violates treaty rights and ignores the government’s constitutional duty to consult. It must be rescinded.

The Ontario Greens will continue to stand with First Nations, allies, and advocates, and fight in the legislature and beyond to hold the Ford government accountable for this direct threat to the land and to First Nations sovereignty.”
