Mike Schreiner visits Kitchener for “Super Saturday” as Aislinn Clancy’s re-election campaign continues to pick up steam
February 2, 2025
KITCHENER — Ontario Greens’ Leader Mike Schreiner joined volunteers and supporters from across the province who came together to support Deputy Leader Aislinn Clancy's re-election campaign’s “Super Saturday” event.
Deputy Leader Aislinn Clancy continues to prioritise the concerns of local voters in Kitchener Centre by canvassing local neighbourhoods, knocking on doors, and sharing the Greens’ plan to make life more affordable for people in Kitchener and across the province.
“What I’m hearing from people here in Kitchener is that they need someone to stand up to the big corporations that are ripping us off, to make housing more affordable, and stop price gouging at the checkout register and on your heating bills,” said Clancy.
“My job is to stand up for our community and that’s what I’ll keep doing.”
Clancy’s re-election campaign moved quickly on the first day of the election to put up 1,200 signs around the city and has already put together a list of 180 volunteers, 40 who braved the weather today to canvass with Clancy and Schreiner.
“I’ve never seen a local snap-election campaign take-off as quickly as Aislinn’s,” said Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner. “The number of people who’ve already pitched in to support this campaign is incredible and the willingness of volunteers to come-out day after day to support her campaign shows just how hard she works for people in Kitchener Centre.”
Tomorrow, Schreiner continues on to Dufferin–Caledon where he’ll join former Orangeville Mayor, and local candidate Sandy Brown to meet with people in the riding as the Greens’ look to gain support in a traditionally Conservative riding.
