Les Schram’a board experience and service in the non profit and small business sectors has prepared him for the challenges of political life. He looks forward to helping to make Ontario a better place by working to improve the environment, the political process, economic and social justice and opportunities for the younger generation.
While a earning his B.A. from Carleton University, Les co-founded a local newspaper and became active in the Mayor’s Committee on Youth. This would ultimately lead to the chairmanship of the board of the Roberts-Smart Centre, an organization which serves young people facing the most serious of mental health challenges.
Les is a self-employed group benefits broker/consultant who has worked out of home in Ottawa South since 1985. Recognition of his business acumen resulted in his selection to the board of Impatica, a local high tech firm, where he served for 12 years.
Les is married to Maggie who has lived most of her life in Ottawa South. He has 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
