What a surprise when we were visited last June, as evening descended on our backyard.A family of Screech Owls decided that our welcoming space, complete with fish pond and a variety of trees that offered a safe space and perhaps a good place to hunt. We watched with excitement, and in awe of these beautiful creatures, as they returned each evening for over a week, the doting mom and dad, and their baby Owlet. Their visits afforded me the opportunity as an amateur photographer, to capture a number of photos of these little beauties. Funny thing, we both seemed to enjoy each others’ company, in this one of a kind life event, being up closest and personal with nature at its finest. We certainly were blessed.
