About David

David Zeni is acutely aware of the environmental challenges facing the local community of Mississauga—Lakeshore and Ontario as a whole. He is running for the Green Party of Ontario to ensure the provincial government acts in the best interests of Ontarians concerning environmental, economic, and social policies.

With an academic background in plant biochemistry and ecology, David recognizes the importance of preserving Ontario’s biodiversity. He also wants to promote sustainable agricultural practices and meet net-zero carbon targets to ensure the planet can sustain future generations.

David is the department head of Mathematics at St. Paul Secondary School in his riding of Mississauga—Lakeshore, where he also teaches science. David dedicates many volunteer hours as a basketball coach and supervisor for math and science clubs. He also participates in Ontario Sailing’s “Learn To Sail and Race” committee and trains provincial sailing coaches.

David has degrees in Mathematics and Biology from Queen’s University. He is an avid windsurfer and outdoor sports enthusiast. He is excited to join Mike Schreiner as a strong voice at Queen’s Park for Mississauga—Lakeshore.
