Doug Ford is choosing to cater to the whims of wealthy developers, corporate landlords, and oil and gas executives—doing favors for his rich friends while ignoring everyone else. While extreme wealth grows at an unprecedented rate, the rest of us are being squeezed out of our own communities.

Our Priorities:

Affordable Homes: Stop letting corporate interests decide where and how we build. We must build homes for people, not for profit. That means building homes people can actually afford in the neighborhoods where they already live—not $2,000 rentals on prime farmland.
Shrink Student Debt: Fix the system so that getting an education doesn’t mean a decade of debt sentence while the well-connected cash in.
Protect Our Communities: Water and land are for people, not corporate profits. We’re standing up against industrial water-taking and sprawl that puts developer gains ahead of our food and water security. In partnership with Indigenous Peoples as the original stewards of this land, we must ensure communities decide how our resources are protected.
Support the People Who Power Ontario: From teachers who can’t afford to live in their own communities to “mom and pop” shops left on the hook for rising costs, it’s time for a government that backs you, not just the billionaire’s bottom line.

As the short spring legislative session continues, I am writing to demand a fundamental shift in your government’s priorities. For too long, your decisions have been dictated by the profit margins of wealthy insiders rather than the needs of everyday Ontarians. While the richest in this province are raking in money at an unprecedented rate, regular people are struggling to make it through the day. This session, I am calling on you to: - Stop siding with corporate landlords and start protecting people by making housing work for residents, not investors. - Build homes for people, not for profit, by prioritizing affordable options in existing neighborhoods instead of luxury sprawl for your donors. - Protect our water and farmland from industrial exploitation to ensure our communities have what they need to thrive. - Invest in the people who power this province—our students, our teachers, and our small business owners—instead of caving to the whims of the wealthy and well-connected. Ontario should be a place where everyone has the chance to live a good life, not just those at the very top. It is time to put people over profits.
