By retroactively exempting your office and cabinet from oversight, you have chosen to keep Ontarians in the dark about how major decisions—including those involving the Greenbelt—are being made. Using a midnight sitting to bypass legislative scrutiny and override court orders is a betrayal of the public trust. I am calling on your government to: - Scrap the exemptions for the Premier’s Office and cabinet records to ensure full public accountability. - Respect the judiciary by complying with court orders to release records relevant to public business. - Restore the 30-day response window for information requests to prevent unnecessary delays in transparency. Ontarians deserve a government that leads with honesty, not one that changes the rules to hide the truth.
