Ontario is being sold off. From the dismantling of our Conservation Authorities to the destruction of our Greenbelt, the Ford government is putting the profits of well-connected insiders above the health of our communities.

We are facing a climate crisis that is becoming a public health crisis.

Our Priorities:

Protect the land, water, and air that keep us healthy. Wetlands aren’t just nature—they are our natural defense against flooding and water contamination.
Invest in green infrastructure to protect our vulnerable neighbours from extreme heat and wildfire smoke, instead of subsidizing fossil fuel expansion.
Redirect billions from environmentally destructive mega-projects like Highway 413 into the public services—like transit and housing—that make our lives healthier and more affordable.

Earth Day has come and gone, but the climate crisis doesn’t pause when the posters come down. I am joining thousands of Ontarians to demand a government that finally treats environmental protection as a public health necessity, not an afterthought. As we’ve seen across the province, you cannot have healthy families in communities that are being paved over for the benefit of a few wealthy developers. When this government dismantles Conservation Authorities and rolls back municipal green standards, you aren’t just “cutting red tape”—you are selling off the natural filters that keep our drinking water safe and our basements flood-free. From extreme heat risking the lives of our seniors to wildfire smoke keeping our children indoors, the climate crisis is a public health crisis. I am calling for an immediate shift in Ontario’s priorities to protect the people, not just the well-connected: - Prioritize Water for People: Protect our long-term health by supporting local moratoriums on industrial water-taking in regions facing water capacity issues, such as Waterloo. - Restore Community Standards: Give power back to municipalities to maintain green building standards. These standards are essential to protect residents from rising energy costs, extreme heat, and flooding. We cannot have healthy people on a sick planet. It is time for leadership that understands that clean air and safe water are rights, not luxuries. I urge you to start building an Ontario that works for everyone.
