Doug Ford is declaring war on bike lanes.

Tell him to invest in the transportation that will actually reduce gridlock.

If we want to solve our traffic problems, we need to give people more affordable choices in how they get around: the choice to bike, walk or take public transit instead of being stuck in gridlock for hours on end.

Someone just needs to tell Ford that.

Doug Ford is declaring war on bike lanes. An idea so profoundly stupid it’s hard to believe it’s real.

They’ve passed legislation to ban new construction of bike lanes on major streets and remove major bike lanes in Toronto.

The only problem? There is literally no evidence that bike infrastructure makes traffic worse. What does make traffic worse is building communities where residents have no other option but to drive in order to get where they need to go.

Ontario Greens are calling on Ford to drop his war on bike lanes and invest in the modes of transportation that will actually reduce gridlock in Ontario: public transit and bike infrastructure.
