Schreiner: Ford needs to shuffle more than his cabinet

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to the Ford government’s latest cabinet shuffle.

“The Premier needs to shuffle his priorities and policies in addition to his cabinet. 

Time and time again this government puts the interests of rich investors and PC donors over the people of Ontario–a half-hearted cabinet shuffle isn’t going to fix that.

This government’s problems go straight to the Premier’s office. 

Over the past eight years Doug Ford has made life harder and more expensive for everyday, hardworking Ontarians. Meanwhile Ford and his ministers are spending our tax dollars lining the pockets of the rich and powerful and living large behind the scenes. 

It’s been too many years of wasteful spending, backtracking and misplaced priorities that have made the housing, healthcare and climate crises worse.

It’s time for the Premier to stop playing politics and get back to work at Queen’s Park so we can take real action to make life easier and more affordable for Ontarians.”
