Ford’s obsession with bike lanes will put people at risk

QUEEN'S PARK — Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to news that the Ford government will begin the process of removing bike lanes in Toronto:

“Make no mistake, Ford’s move to rip out bike lanes will make gridlock worse and streets less safe while increasing pollution. Bike lanes protect lives and give people more affordable options to get around

Doug Ford has already wasted millions fighting this in court. Now, he plans to waste millions more because of his own personal vendetta against bike lanes. Meanwhile, the city will be plagued by months of construction and worse gridlock. 

Doug Ford is obsessed with meddling in Toronto politics, meanwhile the rest of the province needs more affordable homes, cheaper groceries and lower energy bills. Greens call on the Ford government to get its priorities straight and start actually working for Ontarians.”
