Schreiner: Doug and his MPPs are in it for themselves

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens leader and MPP for Guelph Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to PC MPP spending.

“The PC caucus is riding around in limousines, staying at luxury hotels and racking up steakhouse bills on the public and their own donors’ dime. 

Meanwhile, the Ford government has no problem telling everyday people that there’s no money for education, no money to build affordable homes, no money to fix our crumbling healthcare system, no money to increase ODSP or OW. Nothing left to make life easier and more affordable for the people struggling to make it from one day to the next. 

This is part of a pattern that’s been going on for far too long. Doug Ford and his MPPs are using public money to line the pockets of the rich and powerful, and to live large behind the scenes. 

This government has forgotten who it should be working for. 

Enough is enough. Ontario Greens are calling on this government to get their priorities straight, stop the gravy train and start using our tax dollars to make everyday people’s lives better—not to help themselves and their rich and powerful donors.“
