Clancy rallies against Ford’s healthcare privatization agenda

TORONTO — Aislinn Clancy addressed attendees at a rally hosted by the Ontario Health Coalition against healthcare privatization:

“We deserve a government that invests in our systems of care and the people that make it work,” said Clancy.

“It’s time for the Ford government to stop putting corporate profits ahead of the people of Ontario and stop the American-style privatization of our healthcare.

Our hospitals are in crisis.

Healthcare workers are burnt out, underpaid and experiencing increasing workplace violence. Patients are facing worse health outcomes, longer than ever wait times and ER closures in their communities.

And yet this government is starving our healthcare system and dumping tax dollars into vanity projects on Toronto’s waterfront that nobody asked for. 

Doug Ford needs to stop treating healthcare as a commodity and start stepping up with real, investment-backed solutions to the crisis in our hospitals.”
