Doug Ford is starving Ontario hospitals

KITCHENER — Aislinn Clancy released the following statement in response to the healthcare funding shortfall revealed in the FAO Winter 2026 Economic and Budget Outlook.

“Healthcare workers are stretched thin. ER wait times are sky high. Patients are being treated in hallways and closets. And yet, this government continues to starve Ontario’s healthcare system, with funding shortfalls expected to hit a shocking $10.7 billion in 2027-8. 

This is a slap in the face to all Ontarians and to the healthcare workers who have dedicated their lives to caring for us.

While our healthcare system crumbles, Doug Ford continues to waste taxpayer dollars on fantasy tunnels and a luxury spa in the GTA.

Greens call on the Ford government to get their priorities straight and step up with real investments in public healthcare now.”
