“This government is not for the people”

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to the Auditor General’s 2025 annual report.

“The Auditor General’s report shows that the Ford government continues to prioritize favours for the wealthy and well-connected over the people of Ontario. 

This government is spending record amounts on politically motivated ads to make themselves look good instead of connecting people with primary healthcare and setting the province up to have more family doctors and nurse practitioners in the future. 

They continue to bypass the Environmental Bill of Rights and public consultation requirements in order to hand out contracts to wealthy developers that will pave over wetlands, forests and farmland. 

These actions are part of a pattern that puts political donors and wealthy insiders ahead of everyday people – from the Skills Development Fund to the Greenbelt scandal.

The Premier is content to put blinders on while public healthcare crumbles and everyday Ontarians slip through the cracks.

Ontario Greens will continue fighting to put people before insider profits.”
