Doug Ford is holding Canada back with Ontario housing failure

QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens leader and MPP for Guelph Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to CMHC data showing housing starts were down in October.

“Doug Ford’s housing failures are making life harder and more expensive for people.

Ontario is lagging behind the rest of Canada as Doug Ford continues to say no to legalizing multiplexes and midrises that people can afford; no to funding non-profit, co-op and supportive housing; and no to protecting renters. What we need are more homes people can afford, built faster, in existing communities close to transit. It’s time for the Premier to deliver affordability for people.”
