Clancy calls for Kitchener weekend GO train service

KITCHENER — Aislinn Clancy is calling for all-day, two-way GO train service for the residents of Kitchener.

“Commuters from Kitchener need fast, reliable transit options that get them where they need to go.

Every weekend, long lines form for overcrowded GO buses, only for many riders to be left behind when they reach capacity. 

It’s been over a decade since Waterloo Region was promised two-way, all-day GO train service to Toronto. 

For far too long we’ve been promised this service is coming. Our community deserves action now.

That’s why I am calling on Metrolinx and the Minister of Transportation to fulfill the province’s promise of all-day, two-way GO train services along the Toronto-Guelph-Kitchener corridor, starting with the expansion of GO train service to include weekends on the Kitchener line.”
