Schreiner votes in favour of NDP motion condemning Charles McVety's views

TORONTO, ON — Mike Schreiner released the following statement:

“I voted in favour of the Opposition motion today because no one who traffics in Mr. McVety’s brand of hate deserves favours from the government.

I am dismayed that 27 MPPs failed to distance themselves from one of Ontario’s biggest purveyors of hate.

The Premier’s insistence on giving special treatment to a man who has disparaged Muslims, LGBTQ2+ people, Haitians and other minority groups is despicable.

This should have been a unanimous vote. I am sorry to all Ontarians who saw their MPP side with a bigot today.”
