“It is unfair for the Minister to vilify teachers for exercising their rights. Negotiations have typically started in June and it is the prerogative of teachers’ unions if they want to begin talks early.
The Minister continues to goad teachers with heated language. This does nothing to welcome them to the table, nor does it help the stability of our public education system.
If the Minister wants to begin negotiations early, she should be inviting them in good faith to begin negotiations, without threats or accusations.”
