Nicole Parker

About

Nicole Parker currently works as the Administrative Coordinator at Make Poverty History, a non-partisan NGO which advocates on domestic and global poverty issues and climate change. Prior to joining Make Poverty History, Nicole worked for the Green Party of Canada as Regional Organizer for Eastern and Northern Ontario and for Doctors Without Borders (MSF) as a Logistician and Administrator on projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Niger.

Nicole’s green roots run deep. Her parents focused on buying local even in the 70s and Nicole’s friends from junior high will attest to the fact that she, and anyone who happened to be shopping with her, stopped using plastic bags in 1989. After being introduced to the tenets of Green politics at Trent University, Nicole installed her first Green lawn sign in Peterborough in 2000.

Nicole brings logistical, administration, budgeting and governance experience to the table. She holds an Honours BA in International Development and Spanish from Trent University and a post-graduate business diploma in International Project Management from Humber College. As a former organizer, and as the chief financial officer for her constituency association in Ottawa-Vanier, Nicole also brings the collective experience of many ridings to the table.

Nicole seeks your support in her candidacy for Eastern Regional Representative (Female).
