Lydia became actively involved in the Ottawa area Green movement after discovering the federal and provincial Greens’ platforms. The socially progressive, fiscally sound policies that are environmentally conscious reflect her values, as well as those of many Ontarians. Lydia is currently the volunteer coordinator for the Carleton–Mississippi Mills Greens’ constituency association.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ryerson University and a post-graduate diploma from Algonquin College. She is currently a content developer at a quickly growing software startup in Ottawa, and is experienced in technical writing and digital marketing.
Lydia speaks four languages and has an extensive background in working abroad. She lived in six countries as an international fashion model and worked as an intern at the Canadian Embassy to the United States. At the embassy she worked for the Political and Military sections, as well as the Emergency Response and Preparedness Group.
