Elizabeth has been politically active since the birth of the first of her three children. She has been on the executive of riding associations in both Kitchener and London serving in various capacities including events chair, communications chair, financial agent, and fundraising chair for the past 7 years. She has volunteered on campaigns including Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto-Danforth, London-Fanshawe, London-West and Saanich—Gulf Islands engaging in door and phone canvassing, fundraising, Get Out The Vote and event management.
Elizabeth is actively engaged in both the Green Party of Ontario and Green Party of Canada. She has served both organizations in the last Provincial and Federal Elections filling a staff position as Election Organizer for Southwest Ontario helping to insure a full slate of candidates.
Originally from Sault Ste Marie, Elizabeth developed an appreciation for the natural environment which contrasted Sarnia s Chemical Valley where she grew up. Elizabeth holds a diploma in Collections Conservation & Management from Sir Sandford Fleming College and a diploma in Arts Administration-Cultural Management from Humber College. She has worked for national historic sites, municipalities, conservation areas and corporations.
Elizabeth demonstrates community engagement through her involvement with Ronald McDonald House Charities volunteering at her local London house and internationally by running the Chicago marathon as a charity runner for team RMHC.
There is much to do to insure Green voices are heard at Queens Park. Elizabeth is seeking your vote to continue representing the membership in filling the position of Southwest Female Representative.
