About Tom Regina

Tom Regina has been a resident of Haliburton since 1990. Now retired from teaching, he directed an award winning Music programme at Haliburton Highlands Secondary School and also taught Drama and Art classes, eventually becoming Head of the Arts Department.

Teaching in the only secondary school in the county, Tom interacted with students and families from all socio economic backgrounds and experienced the important role of the education system in providing a greater possibility for social equity and opportunity than in the community at large.

“I believe that we need a government that has a compassionate agenda; where affordable homes, access to healthcare and protection of our natural world are higher priorities than elite spas and paved over farmland.”
