About Stephen Vincelette-Smith

Stephen Vincelette-Smith is proud to be running as the Green candidate for St. Catharines, living in the Niagara and Hamilton areas. As a graduate of History and Political Science at Brock University, Stephen feels a particular affinity for St. Catharines. He is running to address issues including food security, housing availability, social justice, and environmental initiatives in Ontario.

At the core of his political philosophy is a desire to help the “little guy” of society – that is, the large majority of us Canadians who are not independently wealthy and suffer from the greedy actions of callous corporations who exploit Canadians for their own gain.

Stephen’s ideal version of St. Catharines is one where the city can feel purpose both within its borders and within the larger Niagara and Ontario communities. It is his hope that a grassroots approach will create this unity. Assisting local organizations such as food banks, garbage cleanup initiatives, and engaging in movements including protests to protect public healthcare are his preferred methods to drive community action.

With the help of the voters, Stephen hopes to give back to his community in a meaningful way.
