|Stephen is an award-winning author and journalist who covers global environmental issues for National Geographic, Vice, The Guardian and other media. A resident of Durham Region for over 30 years, he has been involved in various community groups and sports organizations.
Stephen began his journalism career writing about farming and agricultural issues in Durham and Ontario. Prior to that Stephen worked for 10 years in corporate marketing in the Toronto region.
He is the author of the critically-acclaimed book: Your Water Footprint: The Shocking Facts About How Much Water We Use To Make Everyday Products. (2014 Winner, Best Science Book in Canada). Stephen has been a featured speaker and participated in workshops and international conferences in two dozen countries.
Having interviewed thousands of knowledgable people from many cultures and many parts of the world he has learned that many of the challenges we face are the result of ecologically-ignorant policies and that our economy is wholly dependent on the natural environment. Our leaders — in all sectors — need to be ecologically literate. Only the Green Party has the policies and leadership Ontario needs to ensure a prosperous and equitable future today, and for our children and grandchildren.
