Kevin is proud to be the Green Party’s candidate for Sarnia-Lambton. He was also the candidate in the 2014 provincial election.
Kevin has taught high school math for 20 years and is currently teaching at Great Lakes Secondary School in Sarnia. He is also the sole owner and operator of High School Sports Zone, a website system for school athletic associations used in many parts of Ontario.
In his community, Kevin has served as a board member of the Petrolia Minor Hockey Association and Petrolia Soccer Club. He has also coached numerous youth soccer, baseball and basketball teams. He has spoken at community events on a variety of topics including climate change and math education.
As an advocate for a clean environment Kevin has been involved with the Blue Dot campaign. He has also taken part in community efforts to educate people about electoral reform and in engaging youth in democracy.
Family is important to Kevin. He lives in Petrolia with his wife Laura, and sons Charlie, Ryan and Luke. In their spare time they like to go camping, grow a vegetable garden and explore Canada’s sights. The business has been successful because it provides a practical and effective solution to an existing problem. He believes that government should use the same approach when designing its programs ranging from the electricity system, to carbon pricing, to the legalization of cannabis.
He believes that Sarnia-Lambton is poised to take advantage of its strong agricultural sector as industry transitions to the bioeconomy.
