About Andrew Massey
Andrew Massey is proud to call downtown Toronto his home. He is running for MPP in Toronto Centre and remains committed to affordability, accountability, and dignity for all. He is an advocate for ranked ballots, basic income, and honesty in politics.
Andrew is from small towns in southern Ontario. After graduating from the University of Toronto, he travelled widely and worked in Japan as a teacher before returning to Ontario in 2015 and settling in Toronto. An experienced writer and editor, he now works in transportation on the GO Expansion project that will expand and electrify rail service across the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
Andrew understands the appeal and unique challenges of living and raising a family as a downtown renter. The culture, community, and access to world-class institutions make life here incredible. However, the high cost of living, aging infrastructure, and gaps in the social safety net are undeniable. More must be done to support downtown residents.
Green Party candidates care about environmental issues, but nature is not the only worry. Fixing the economic and political environments must be a priority. Youth unemployment is alarmingly high, and voter turnout is at historic lows. These trends must be reversed.
The Green Party of Ontario is not Left, nor Right, but forward thinking, and at this moment in history, forward-thinking solutions are needed.
Andrew wants Ontarians to feel secure and cared for in their own environments. The government must look after its people so that the people can look after their province.
