Students’ mental health should be our top priority

Everything is not okay.

As students head back to school this week, doctors are warning of an ‘unprecedented’ wave of mental health requests. The past two years of online schooling and isolation have taken their toll on kids and they need our help.

Mike Schreiner, our leader, is calling out years of Ford’s penny-pinching on youth mental health care. The Ontario government’s entire mental health plan has only allocated $1.9 billion over 10 years, pushing pre-pandemic wait times of 18 months to more than two and a half years.

That is unacceptable. Our kids are in crisis now. Join us in telling Ford to help kids now.
