Help the Ontario Greens end homelessness with housing
Doug Ford wants to make it illegal to be homeless, punishing vulnerable Ontarians with jail time and fines instead of providing them with housing, health care and support.
While more than 81,000 people experienced homelessness in Ontario last year, Ford’s government is pushing cruel legislation that criminalizes people for sleeping in encampments and on sidewalks without offering real solutions.
Meanwhile, housing starts under the Ford government are at record lows.
The Ontario Greens are fighting back with the Homelessness Ends with Housing Act. This bill lays out a clear, evidence-based approach to end homelessness in ten years through a housing-first approach.
Every person deserves a safe, stable place to call home. Criminalizing homelessness is not only wrong – it’s ineffective, costly, and cruel.
Join us in calling on Doug Ford to stop punishing poverty and start building real solutions.
