“We need housing, not tunnels”: Schreiner responds to Ford’s platform

TORONTO — Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner responds to Doug Ford’s platform:

“Doug Ford is more interested in building a tunnel under the 401, which experts have pegged at up to $100 billion, than building affordable homes and fixing the healthcare crisis.

We need housing, not tunnels.

Ford’s ‘platform’ allocates no funding toward building permanent affordable nonprofit homes, ignoring the severity of the housing crisis that has escalated to a breaking point under Ford’s watch

While rural ER departments close, Doug Ford is focusing on wasting billions in the GTA with a foreign-owned mega spa, a tunnel, and a highway we don’t need.

Ontario Greens have a real plan for a more affordable and fairer Ontario – to build homes, fix healthcare, and protect the people and places we love. And we’re clear with how we’ll pay for it.”
