Matt Richter endorsed by former Liberal, NDP voters
February 24, 2025
BRACEBRIDGE — Ontario Greens Deputy Leader and candidate for Parry Sound-Muskoka Matt Richter received endorsements from community members who are former Liberal and NDP voters.
“I grew up in an NDP household and I would describe myself as a fiscal conservative,” said Bonnie Duits. “I strongly believe that collaboration across parties is the only way to build good policy that works for everyone. I’m voting for Matt because he’s capable of doing that and will be an incredible voice for our riding.”
“I’m supporting Matt because Matt puts people before politics,” said Debbie Vernon. “His policies for Parry Sound-Muskoka are in line with what matters most to the people of this region. Ontario Greens work collaboratively with all political parties to create a better Ontario.”
“I used to vote NDP but nobody can match Matt,” said Leslie Hastings.
“I’m honoured to have these endorsements from hardworking members of our community,” said Richter. “Our Green movement brings folks together across political stripes – people who are tired of the status quo and ready for a government that’s going to put our rural and Northern communities first.”
Richter was also joined by Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner.
“The momentum of Matt’s campaign is so exciting to see,” said Schreiner. “Our team is working around the clock making thousands of phone calls and knocking on thousands of doors to get people out to the polls. Community members of all political stripes are getting behind Matt because they know that he will be the best advocate for them at Queen’s Park.”
“I know from knocking on thousands of doors here that people are ready for change. Electing Matt is the only way to stop another Conservative seat and make that change happen.”
