Pascale Marchand nominated as Ontario Greens candidate in Hamilton East–Stoney Creek

January 31, 2025

HAMILTON — Pascale Marchand has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate in Hamilton East–Stoney Creek.

Marchand is a proud East Hamiltonian who currently serves as the Constituency Assistant for Hamilton’s Ward 4. In 2024, she expedited affordable housing projects in Hamilton and took action to cut through bureaucratic barriers to advance the interests of her community.

She is an experienced community leader, policymaker, and outspoken advocate for Franco-Ontarians, Indigenous communities, environmental justice and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

“Our communities need support now, and we need a government we can trust to take action. Not one who wastes billions tearing up bike lanes and building pointless highways while people across the province can’t find a place to live or get in to see a doctor,” said Marchand.

“Pascale isn’t someone who will sit around and wait for Doug Ford to address the priorities of people in her community. She’ll work with her neighbours to get things done, as she has been doing for years” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner.

“Her background in policy and municipal politics will help her cut through red-tape to get more done for people in Hamilton East–Stoney Creek and across the province.”

Recently, Pascale rallied Hamilton residents to pressure the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks and local industries accountable for the black soot affecting their homes and playgrounds.

She’s been nominated for the 2025 YWCA Women of Distinction award.
