Mike Schreiner visits Kitchener Centre on writ drop day as Aislinn Clancy’s re-election campaign picks up speed

January 30, 2025

KITCHENER — Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner and Deputy Leader Aislinn Clancy were in Kitchener Centre to kick off Clancy’s re-election campaign, thank volunteers for their hard work, and amp them up for the month to come.

After spending the last few months knocking on doors and connecting directly with neighbours, Clancy’s re-election campaign is quickly gaining community support with volunteers waking up early this morning to put 1,200 campaign signs up ahead of today’s election announcement.

“The number of people who’ve already pitched in to support this campaign is incredible,” said Clancy. “And it’s why I’ll be out every day this month to keep knocking on doors, connecting with voters, listening to your priorities, and raising my voice to speak up for the needs of our community.”

“People here in Kitchener are excited to support Aislinn again in this next election and I can already feel the momentum and energy,” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner. “They know that she always makes time to listen to her community and speak up for what they need as an independent voice at Queen’s Park.”

“But that’s what it means to have a Green MPP, it means having someone you can trust to put the good of your community ahead of any political agenda. It’s what we mean when we promise to put people before profits.”

Schreiner also stopped in Guelph today alongside Wellington–Halton Hills candidate, Bronwynne Wilton, to address volunteers, connect with his community, and kick off his local campaign.

Next, Schreiner will visit Wilton’s riding to highlight the Ontario Greens’ plan to support rural communities abandoned by Doug Ford and highlight Wilton’s track-record of community advocacy as a local councillor.
