Mike Schreiner kicks off 2025 election campaign
January 29, 2025
QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner was in Toronto this morning before jumping into the Ontario Greens’ custom electric 2025 Chevrolet Equinox tour car to kick off his local campaign in Guelph alongside Wellington–Halton Hills candidate, Bronwynne Wilton.
“This election is a referendum on Doug Ford’s poor track-record of the past seven years,” Schreiner said.
“People across the province are struggling to find an affordable place to call home, and to access the care they need. But Doug Ford continues to put big profits before people, with wasteful spending that only benefits wealthy land speculators and fossil fuel giants like Enbridge, all while ripping off everyday Ontarians who are struggling to make ends meet.”
“People deserve better than Doug Ford and this is our chance to turn things around for the many communities that feel abandoned by this government. We’ve recruited a strong line-up of local champions to run as Green candidates, and we are ready to fight for our local communities.”
The Ontario Greens are starting the campaign on strong footing. The party broke multiple fundraising records in 2024, and in 2025 has already raised more than two times what they raised this time last year.
“Ontario Greens are a people-powered party,” said Schreiner. “We’re committed to putting people before profits so you can live in a more affordable province with a future you can believe in, with a government that puts you first.”
Schreiner will finish the day in Kitchener Centre where he’ll join Deputy Leader Aislinn Clancy to address volunteers and supporters as Clancy’s re-election campaign officially kicks off.
