Simon Beckett nominated as Ontario Greens candidate in Ottawa Centre

OTTAWA — Simon Beckett has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate in Ottawa Centre.

Beckett is a small business owner who operates a property management company in Ottawa and surrounding areas. He has an in-depth understanding of the problems facing renters, families, workers, and entrepreneurs in Ottawa Centre and is an advocate for practical solutions to the housing and affordability crisis.

His priorities include affordable housing, better healthcare, and investing in mental health and addictions services.

“Our community needs a representative who is ready to listen to the needs of our community,” said Beckett. “I’m committed to working with the Ontario Greens’ to bring positive change to the heart of our city.”

“Simon is committed to making sure that the voices and people in his community are heard in Queen’s Park,” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner. “Unlike Doug Ford, he’s someone you can trust to take real action on the housing affordability crisis.”

A former dancer and choreographer, Beckett works with schools and community centres to deliver arts programming and inspire young people.
