Mark Harrison nominated as Ontario Greens candidate in Niagara West

NIAGARA — Mark Harrison has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate in Niagara West.
Harrison is a retired business owner who, throughout his career, managed businesses in England, Scotland, South Africa, and Canada – including a coffee shop in Oakville and two franchise locations in the Niagara region.
Since retiring, Harrison has dedicated himself to environmental activism, volunteering with the David Suzuki Foundation and the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
“We need a new vision for our community,” said Harrison. “Doug Ford’s government has ignored the needs of communities like ours for far too long and someone needs to take action to stabilize grocery prices and put an end to the reckless urban sprawl threatening the places we love.”
“Niagara West needs a strong local champion who understands the region and has a clear vision for how its natural strengths can be harnessed to create rewarding and sustainable career opportunities and a thriving green economy.” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner.
“Mark is someone you can trust to put people over profits and protect nature and will be a strong voice for his community at Queen’s Park.”
Harrison lives in Wainfleet with his wife, where he enjoys running, cycling, hiking, reading, and spending time with his grandson and three grown children.
