Mike Schreiner stops in Kitchener for “Super Saturday” as Aislinn Clancy’s re-election campaign continues to gain momentum
January 20, 2025
KITCHENER — Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner stopped in Kitchener Centre today to show his support for Deputy Green leader and Kitchener Centre MPP Aislinn Clancy as part of his “Local Champions Tour”, highlighting Ontario Greens’ support for local communities and strong local leaders across the province. Schreiner and Clancy met with volunteers and supporters at Clancy’s campaign office before joining volunteers to canvas local neighbourhoods and connect with people.
“Getting out in the community, knocking on doors, and listening to people’s priorities is the most important part of my job,” said Clancy. “I’m dedicated to bringing the needs of the people of Kitchener Centre forward and being their voice at Queen’s Park.”
“People in Kitchener Centre need a local representative they can trust to take their concerns seriously,” said Schreiner, “Aislinn has been a fearless advocate for her community at Queen’s Park, putting forward legislation to lower housing costs and protect renters, create affordable childcare spaces, and bring two-way, all-day GO to Kitchener.”
“When I’m knocking on doors connecting with voters in Kitchener, I always hear about the work she’s putting in for her constituents. It’s clear that the people of Kitchener Centre are her boss — and not me or the party. I’m excited to see how much more Aislinn can accomplish for people in Kitchener.”
Schreiner will continue his Local Champions Tour on Monday January 20 and Tuesday January 21 where he will attend the ROMA Conference in Toronto to share the Ontario Greens’ plan to support rural communities abandoned by Doug Ford’s government. Clancy will also be in attendance at ROMA on Monday.
