TORONTO — Chloe Tangpongprush has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate in Toronto–St. Paul’s.
Tangpongprush is an organizer, spokesperson, and public transit activist who’s worked with transit advocacy group, TTCriders, to push for lower transit fares for working-class families. She’s a strong advocate for increased transit funding and improved transit services for seniors and people with disabilities.
“I believe that through strong action-oriented policy, Ontario can become a society of abundance: abundant, affordable housing, abundant Green transportation options, and abundant opportunities for all,” said Tangponrush.
“Chloe is an outspoken advocate for real solutions to Toronto’s public transit problems,” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner. “Her progressive, positive, and youthful vision of politics will make her a strong voice for people in Toronto–St. Paul’s – in particular, younger Torontonians who are looking for hope and action.”
Tangpongprush lives in the Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the city on bike, reading manga, and brewing specialty coffee.
