Kitchener Centre MPP Aislinn Clancy gears up for next election, names campaign manager

January 9, 2025

KITCHENER — Ontario Greens’ Kitchener Centre MPP Aislinn Clancy has named longtime Ontario Greens’ executive Teresa Cornwell as her Campaign Manager for the upcoming provincial election.

Clancy’s re-election campaign is quickly building momentum after hitting 140% of its end-of-year fundraising target and receiving hundreds of sign requests already. Cornwell expects the campaign’s momentum to continue to pick up as we get closer to the next provincial election.

“We’ve hit a number of key milestones in recent weeks,” Cornwell said. “Our campaign office is up and running, and there is a lot of engagement from volunteers and supporters who are excited to help send Aislinn back to Queen’s Park.”

Cornwell has been an invaluable member of the Green community in Kitchener since 2009 and has worked on 11 campaigns. She has served as the CFO for the Kitchener Centre Greens for the last 10 years and also serves on the party’s Provincial Executive.

“I couldn’t be more excited to work with Teresa on the upcoming campaign,” said Clancy. “I know that her leadership and experience will help us continue connecting with more people in our community and make sure we keep responding to the issues that matter most to the people of Kitchener – issues like cost of living, health care access, and affordable housing and childcare.”

“Aislinn has dedicated her time as MPP to working tirelessly for the people of Kitchener Centre and being their voice at Queen’s Park,” Cornwell said. “I’m looking forward to leading her re-election effort. People in Kitchener Centre need a representative that will listen and they can trust to take their concerns seriously.”

Cornwell grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from the University of Guelph with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Toxicology. She works as a Program Coordinator for Reep Green Solutions in Kitchener, where she connects local community members with funding to implement environmentally sustainable programs.

Aislinn’s campaign office is now active and is located at 162 Victoria St S, Kitchener.
