Joshua Czerniga nominated as Ontario Greens candidate in Hamilton Mountain

HAMILTON — Joshua Czerniga has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate for Hamilton Mountain in the upcoming provincial election.

Czerniga was born and raised in Hamilton Mountain and has worked in the public education sector for 15 years.

Czerniga joined the Ontario Greens after serving as a longtime executive member of the Ontario NDP.

“I am honoured to carry the Ontario Green Party banner for Hamilton Mountain,” said Czerniga. 

“Our community deserves bold, innovative solutions to tackle the pressing challenges of today – whether it’s housing affordability, strengthening our public education system, or creating a wraparound approach to social services that helps everyone thrive. I’m committed to putting people first.”

“Josh recognizes the need for new, lasting solutions to address the concerns of people in Hamilton Mountain,” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner. “I know he’ll be a strong voice for his community at Queen’s Park.”

Czerniga is actively involved with the LGBTQ+ community in Hamilton, is a leading member of the Hamilton Knights of Columbus, and is a former member of the Hamilton Farmer’s Market Board of Directors.
