Ian Morton nominated as Ontario Greens candidate in Perth–Wellington

STRATFORD — Ian Morton has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate for Perth–Wellington in the upcoming provincial election.

Morton is a dedicated community leader with 25 years experience in education. In 2022, he ran in the Stratford municipal election and built a strong campaign focused on delivering on the priorities of people in his community. 

“Our provincial government must do more to hear and act on the concerns of the people of Perth–Wellington,” said Morton. “And I’m looking forward to working with the Ontario Greens’ to make sure that happens.” 

“In this upcoming election, people in Perth–Wellington will face an important choice,” said Ontario Greens’ leader Mike Schreiner. “They will choose between Ian’s vision of a green, fairer future for the people and places we love, or a Ford government with a track-record of abandoning rural communities.”

Morton is active in local politics and has served as Chair of the City of Stratford Energy and Environment Committee and as Vice-Chair of the Active Transportation Advisory Committee.
