Colton Chaput nominated as Ontario Greens candidate in Nipissing

NORTH BAY — Colton Chaput has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate for Nipissing in the upcoming provincial election.

Chaput is a 4th-year nursing student and community leader from the North Bay area. He plans to work as a registered nurse upon the completion of his degree and recognizes the need for a provincial government that prioritizes the wellbeing of people living in small cities and rural communities.

“I’m excited for this opportunity to continue serving my community by holding important conversations about the issues that matter most to people in Nipissing,” said Chaput.

“We need to work together to deliver social and climate justice so that our children can continue to celebrate the natural beauty of our riding.” 

“Colton has a long track-record of volunteer service and close ties to Nipissing,” said Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner. “I know he’ll be a strong voice for his community and always put people before politics.” 

Chaput is looking forward to connecting with constituents on the campaign trail.
