Ontario Greens name Lori Borthwick as Bay of Quinte candidate

QUEEN'S PARK — Lori Borthwick has been nominated as the Ontario Greens’ candidate for Bay of Quinte in the upcoming provincial election.

Lori has called the Bay of Quinte home since 1989. She began her career as a respiratory therapist at the Belleville General Hospital, where she worked for over 30 years.

As a frontline healthcare worker, Lori has seen firsthand how the gaps in Ontario’s healthcare system are leaving everyday people behind. She is a strong believer in the Ontario Greens’ plan to invest in public healthcare and act on the social determinants of health, including ensuring everyone has access to safe and affordable housing.

“Lori is a community champion who has spent her career fighting for an Ontario that puts people before profits,” said Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner. “I know she will be a strong and outspoken voice for the people of Bay of Quinte at Queen’s Park.”
