QUEEN'S PARK — Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner responds to Premier Ford’s comments on ODSP:
“Doug Ford continues to blame everyone but himself for the housing crisis.
Instead of building more homes so people have affordable places to live or supporting people with disabilities, he’s telling people on ODSP to ‘get back to work’.
People on ODSP are living in legislated poverty and the Premier is only making matters worse.
Greens will continue to call on the government to more than double rates to bring people on ODSP out of legislated poverty. People need support, but unfortunately Ford government policy does not reflect the need to care for people.”
