TORONTO — Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner released the following statement in response to a new investigation showing how wealthy speculators will benefit from the Ford government’s Yonge subway route change:
“Doug Ford is once again putting his wealthy insider club ahead of everyday Ontarians.
Whether it’s the Greenbelt scandal or the location of new transit, this government continues to make important decisions at the whim of well-connected speculators.
The people of Ontario deserve transparency and accountability on how planning and development decisions are made.”
